We are registered with the ICO trading as The Beer Boat Co

as we use CCTV around our premises. The description of processing is given on their website, however in brief we record digital images for the purpose of crime prevention and public safety. The data stored can only be shared with the individuals and organisations listed, but this must be requested in writing to our email address. thebeerboatco@gmail.com 

Please note that although a request may be made we will not be able to supply information more than 7 days after an event as we usually delete all stored data every 7 days. Should you believe we have stored data within the 7 day period please write to us with specific dates and times and we will be happy to confirm whether information is held or not as we do not operate CCTV continuously. We will always have a notice to warn of CCTV use when in operation and contact details.

How we handle your data

During the course of our business we take card payments. We only use electronic processing and do not record or store any personal or card details. Card payments are authorised via the customers financial institution and we can refund any payment taken in error or where a refund is deemed necessary for customer service by us, however the card used must be presented as we do not store these details in any format.

How we handle your data

During the course of our business we may ask customers for proof of identity to verify their age, as we sell alcohol which is prohibited to be sold to persons under 18. If you are under 25 we may ask you to show us ID, refusal to offer identification will result in you not being able to purchase any alcohol. Your personal information will not be recorded in any way, however should you refuse to offer age verification ID we may log details of the incident, which will include date & time and brief description of person attempting to buy alcohol.

How we handle your data

We use many images to advertise or portray our business and do not purposely identify persons unless we name someone and have their permission.

Should your image appear and you want it removed please email us at thebeerboatco@gmail.com stating the date where possible and we will remove it.
